Fantastic news! Lincolnshire Co-op Community Champions has awarded Liquorice Park £819.84. A big thank you to Lincolnshire Co-op and all our supporters who voted for us. We will be using the funds for repair projects needed in the park.
Cornfield Meadow Trial Update
Phase 2 planted in early spring saw very different plants thriving. A few cornflowers appeared which was a bit of a relief. It appears the corncockle was too successful in Phase 1. We’ll give it another go in 2022 to see if we can achieve a more diverse cornfield mix.
Volunteer News
A warm welcome to new volunteers Annie, George, John, Kirsten, Kian and Tom. Callum and Perrine, who both worked so hard in the park, have moved on after graduating. Thanks for all your efforts.
Volunteers meet Wednesday and Sunday from 10.30am in the herb garden.
Spotlight on Herb Garden
A place where everyone ends up. It is colourful with lots of herbs and flowers attracting wildlife. There are benches where you can sit so bring a picnic or flask of coffee. It’s hard to leave on a sunny warm day!
